Robert B. Caine, PE, LEED, AP, is the Vice President and Director of Florida Operations at Osborn Engineering. In 2005, Bob formed Project Caine to provide mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection engineering services to the South Florida marketplace. In 2017, Project Caine merged with the Osborn Engineering Company of Cleveland, OH.
Osborn Engineering continues to focus on projects in the following segments: single-family residential, multi-family residential, commercial, institutional, healthcare, university, airports and ports. The firm has also developed an expertise in Green Building Design including the design of Solar Photovoltaic systems.
Robert is a graduate of Villanova University with a degree in Electrical Engineering. He has published numerous articles on electrical engineering and has given several lectures on various electrical engineering topics.
Debbie Danto, MBA, LEED AP, CGC is the Chief Operating Officer at Danto Builders and is responsible for the daily operations and business development. Danto Builders is focused on commercial construction, especially hospitality (restaurant and hotel), healthcare and aviation. She has over 30 years of experience in developing and operating businesses. Debbie graduated from Ohio State University with her bachelor of science in business administration and MBA from Cleveland State University.
Her career started with Pizza Hut and Arby’s, which then led into working in the manufacturing, construction and engineering-related industries. Debbie also has expertise in developing energy-efficient, cost-effective solutions for buildings, which includes design, project management and tax incentives; including 179D energy tax deductions through a separate division called mep (Maximum Energy Payback).
Irene DuPont is currently Vice President/Branch Manager at First Bank Florida, at the Deerfield Beach branch. Prior to First Bank she was Vice President/Branch Manager/ Business Development Officer at Landmark Bank, N.A., at the Davie/Plantation branch. Irene was also a senior business development banker for Regent Bank. She is a graduate of SUNY/Empire State College and moved to South Florida from upstate New York in 2010. Prior to moving to Florida, Irene worked for a large national bank. Overall, she has been in banking for 12 years. Prior to banking, Irene worked in a variety of industries and held various positions from international sales to owning and operating several retail businesses.
David A. Strauss, Esq. is a Magna Cum Laude graduate of New York Law School. His clients have honored him with a Preeminent rating from Martindale-Hubbell (Client Review Rating: 5.0 of 5.0). He was admitted to the New York State Bar in 1995 and was subsequently admitted to the Florida Bar in 2004. In addition, he is admitted to the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, the Southern District of Florida, as well as the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York. In 2015, Mr. Strauss was admitted to practice before the Seminole Tribal Court. Mr. Strauss is a veteran New York City prosecutor, with extensive trial and appellate experience at all levels, both State and Federal. David’s areas of expertise include: shopping center, strip mall and office building disputes; foreclosures; construction litigation and lien law; commercial landlord-tenant; complex collection matters; condominiums and HOA’s; appellate practice; judgment enforcement; and business law.
Marina Pavlov is the President and CEO of the Florida Association of Nonprofit Organizations, Inc., a statewide resource center for Florida 52,000 nonprofit organizations. She helped with the organizing efforts in 1990 and 1991 and has published the newsletter for 25 years. She also developed the signature program, the Sunshine Certificate in Nonprofit Management, which is a 44 hours program with 11 learning modules.
Marina received a full scholarship for a PhD in Organization Development and HRD from Florida International University and received a Master of Science degree in Education also from Florida International University. Additionally, Marina earned a BFA degree in sculpture from Florida Atlantic University.
Marina attended Rutgers University, University of Miami and University of Virginia for both graduate and undergraduate classes. Prior to FANO, Marina was Executive Director of a 1,000-member artist organization in Fort Lauderdale. Over the years, Marina has conducted extensive fundraising, including capital campaign, direct mail, membership drives, auctions and a varietyof special events.
